Maanu

Maanu is a magical inhabitant of a world of floating islands filled with water. She uses her connection to the water to ride its waves and jump over the gaps between the islands. One day a group of beavers from the down below have built an airship to conquer the skies and build their dams on the floating rivers. Maanu has to reach and destroy their air ship before they sink all the islands.

We are students of the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg and this is our graduation project which we did in parallel to our Bachelors Degree. 

Controls:
KBM

• WASD - Movement
• Space - Jump
• Ctrl - Dive

Gamepad

• Left Stick - Movement
• Right Stick - Camera
• Right Shoulder / A - Jump
• Right Trigger / B - Dive

Further Gameplay Notes
Maanu can ride the water surface to become very fast and jump incredibly far.
Jump can be held underwater to trigger a dive-jump which gains extra height
Jumping in the air triggers an air-jump which consumes an arrow in the bottom right corner of the screen
Arrows are recharged by staying on or underwater
Crashing into obstacles causes damage.
Taking too much damage or falling off the islands ends the run.
The player gets points for being fast and collecting coins along the way.

Note: We recommend using a computer with a dedicated graphics card, as the game utilizes gpu acceleration, which doesn't work on integrated graphics.
