Nomads

All odds are against you! Try to survive against a harsh environment and escape the madness to survive another day. You and your crew are stranded on an deserted Alien world where you need to collect 3 Artifacts to teleport away. Hopefully your last adventure of this kind.

Game Description

Nomads is an RTT game in which you control 10 characters and try to leave the hellish planet. This is achieved by collecting so-called artifacts, which trigger an end sequence, a teleport channel that takes you to another planet, where you have to defend yourself against a final onslaught of enemies. The controls are based on those of old RTS classics, and the upgrades and resource system are also very similar to old classics. The enemies are “scattered” across the map and can ambush you, as you never see the entire map, only where you are currently located and where you have already been. Leaving the planet is made even more difficult by the existence of storms. These can be avoided, but if a battle breaks out in a storm, the player's skill is put to the test, as with a little bad luck, they can cause immense damage. It doesn't get any easier when you consider that every living unit is worth its weight in gold, as there is no respawn option in the game. However, upgrades, especially the first ones, which make a unit many times stronger, can therefore replace a lost unit. 

We made this game in 2022 as part of our 2nd year at the university of applied sciences Salzburg over the course of 1 semester in Unity Engine.
